Caravan parking


Contrary to various Internet publications, the fair's own caravan site is not open all year round. The opening hours are usually two days before an event, during and one day after a trade or consumer show. In the case of mega concerts on the exhibition grounds, we will open around noon on the concert day and close around noon on the following day (next show: HANNOVER MESSE 2024).


The caravan park owned by Deutsche Messe can be used for all residential vehicles (less than 4 m high) for larger trade and consumer fairs at a charge. It is located across hall 13 (entrance area West) in the South of the exhibition grounds on the corner of Kronsbergstrasse and Karlsruher Strasse and is right across the street from the exhibition grounds .

Each of its 400 lawn pitches has a separate power connection for each pitch (usually 230 V / 16 A). The matching adapter cable can be borrowed for 30.00 euros (20.00 euro deposit plus 10.00 euro rental fee). The site has several sanitary, fresh water refuelling, sewage and waste disposal stations. The shower, washing and toilet facilities are divided into separate ladies' and men's areas. The corresponding locking system key for the women's area can be borrowed for a deposit of 50 euros in cash per key . On arrival, please report to our groundskeeper at the reception on the right side of the entrance. Please pay your bill in cash or by Electronic Cash (credit or bank card) at least one day before your departure.

Dogs are welcome as long as they do not bother other guests and their remains are properly disposed of.


For organizational reasons the groundskeeper will not accept any packages. Exhibitors may find mailing address for deliveries to their stand in the exhibitors`information.


Our site is connected to the public transport system (city and suburban railway) of the city of Hanover.

  • Immediate surroundings

    Shopping facilities:

    Well-known discounters and a large shopping center are located close to the caravan parking lot. 


    Restaurants:

    Various restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity and on the exhibition grounds. 


    Museums, parks and public pools: 

    Take a walk or just relax in the close-by ‘Park der Sinne’ (Park of Senses).

    The adventure pool AquaLaatzium offers a sauna, a swimming pool, a fitness and a wellness area.

    Enjoy the history of aviation up close in the nearby Aeronautical Museum Hanover. 


    Traffic training center:

    The Center for Driving Safety of the German Automobile Club offers the right training course for every driver to be in control of their vehicle in any wheather condition.


    ZAG Arena:

     A variety of sports and music events take place in the ZAG Arena event hall. 




  • Site rules

    Dear caravan site user,


    We kindly ask you to observe our campsite rules: 


    1. Please register at our registration desk upon your arrival. If you arrive outside our opening hours, please register the next morning. Please refer to our current price and services list for fees applicable to your stay. Together with our staff, you will find a suitable space. Before your departure, please inform the groundskeeper and pay the total amount directly on site in cash or with your bank or credit card.


    2. The groundskeeper will provide you with a key for either the ladies' or the men's sanitary facility against a cash deposit of Euro 50.00 per key. The key must be returned upon departure.


    3. For organisational reasons please follow the instructions of our personnel. Only one camper and the car pulling it or one motor home may be parked in one space. Additional vehicles are to be registered unrquested and may only be parked on the caravan site with the consent of the site attendant and against a fee. All other cars and trailers must be parked opposite the caravan site for a fee in parking lot "West 34" or the truck and van parking area "West 44".


    4. Dogs must be kept on a leash within the caravan site. They may not be brought into the sanitary facilities. Any droppings must be removed immediately.


    5. Our guests agree to treat the space, the sanitary facilities and all other facilities with care. We therefore ask you to leave the sanitary facilities as you found them. Please note that smoking is not permitted in the sanitary facilities.

     

    6. Place your waste in the waste containers that have been provided for this purpose in the waste disposal area. Any grey water or chemo-toilet contents can be dumped via the drains of the corresponding grey water basins in the sanitary building or the central floor separator of the disposal station.


    7. For fire safety reasons, open fires are not permitted. Grilling using the electric grill is not permitted after 10 p.m. In the event of fire, please dial 112! Fire extinguishers are located on the lampposts (see also the site plan posted on the outside of the registration office). Please note our general fire safety rules in the registration office.


    8. The caravan site quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please be considerate of all caravan site guests.


    9. Driving is permitted only at walking pace on the appropriate pathways. During bad weather, snow or frost in the wintertime, determine for yourself if the weather conditions allow for safe riding and walking around the grounds. The paths may not always be kept free of ice and snow. The provisions of the Road Traffic Act apply at the parking areas managed by GfV.


    10. You must fully clean the space you rented before you leave.


    11. Commercial activities are not permitted on the caravan site.


    12. In implementing the site rules, management and the groundskeeper are authorised to refuse admission to people or to ask them to leave if this appears to be necessary to maintain the peace and order of the caravan site and in the interest of the other guests.

  • Camper rental

    Below you find the contacts of caravan rentals from the greater Hanover area. On behalf of their customers they park the rented campers directly on the caravan site “Kronsberg” owned by Deutsche Messe.


    Please contact the camper rentals in advance to check who reserves the parking space and pays for the site fees. You will receive the key for a rented camper directly from the owner.
